• All the games above cover KS3 areas listed under 'Knowledge and Understanding of Places' i.e. "Pupils should be taught to describe the national, international and Global contexts of places" 3b
• KS3 Geography - 2c: To use globes, atlases and maps at a range of scales.
• KS3 Geography - Locational knowledge: parts of the UK, countries of Europe, the continents and so on.

Possible extensions to these activities could be easily devised along the same lines to target some of the other KS3 requirements, such as main mountain areas, important cities, longest rivers, areas of high/low population (UK, Europe, and World), as indicated in the KS3 National Curriculum document.
